West Cambridge Renovation

An existing Hornbeam hedge and sculptural Japanese Maple were given new life in this renovated garden in West Cambridge.  JJLA worked collaboratively with the clients and the builder to save some of the existing garden elements for reuse in the newly renovated spaces.  The reclaimed brick terraces were created from brick found on the site while connecting paths were created using new bluestone.   Much of the overgrown plant material was removed to make way for a lower maintenance garden for the clients.  The addition of a redbud grove at the entrance provides stunning color against the newly painted building, while new wooden fences, decks, and a trash enclosure add additional structure to the garden.
